Adored Mailing List Recipients,
Briefly, a plug (or two):
The Decemberists Shop (est. 2003) is your destination for top quality Decemberists clothing, tchotchkes, souvenirs and memorabilia of all shapes, sizes, colors and sounds. We use the good ol’ U.S. Post Office to ship, but our team at the shop feels that if you order up to Sunday night, and you don’t live outside of the Continental U.S., chances are very very good you’ll receive your goods by December 24. As you can see in this more-graphic-than-usual email, there are new merch items at the site featuring classic designs by illustratrix Carson Ellis including mugs, water bottes, knit hats, Moleskine notebooks, new long-sleeve tees, and more. If you spend more than $60 on an order, we’ll include a complimentary copy of The Decemberists Show Book. Also, we are still offering a copy of the DVD version of Here Come the Waves: The Hazards of Love Visualized as a free bonus with all orders of The Hazards of Love on CD or vinyl. It is available digitally in HD at iTunes as well.
Hmm, let’s say you don’t live in the Continental U.S. Perhaps you live in Europe? As it turns out, on this very day, we are pleased to announce that a fine (though limited) selection of shirts and hoodies are now available via our UK store, so you can save considerably on shipping from afar. In addition, signed and numbered copies of the limited edition silkscreen poster created for the two recent London shows are available on this site. As always, our U.S. shop will gladly ship orders abroad if you are looking for an item only available in the U.S.
The Decemberists’ virgin pilgrimage to Australia is approaching. Limited tickets are still available for the band’s headlining shows in Sydney (January 20) and Melbourne (January 25). Tickets are also still available for the Auckland Big Day Out date.
Thanks for all of your support this past year. Happy holidays everyone!
Yours truly,
The Decemberists
