Adored Mailing List Recipients,

Ladies and Gentlemen, the first leg of the Popes of Pendarvia World Tour rolls on, stopping tonight in Kansas City, MO.  We’re very pleased to announce a second leg of dates in April and May, beginning in Colorado Springs, CO and ending in Atlanta, GA.  We’ll be joined on many of these dates by special guest Justin Townes Earle.   Not only that, we’ll also return to Sasquatch! Music Festival later in May.  Tickets for our Europe dates are selling fast, so be sure to pick up yours today.  A limited fan presale is currently underway here.  Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday at 10am ET.  Visit our tour page for a full list of dates and links to buy tickets.

If you’re snowed in and missed it, our new album, The King Is Dead, was released on January 18th and is available now at The Decemberists Shop (Est. 2003), iTunes, Amazon, and your local record store.  We’re still selling the DELUXE BOX EDITION, as well as the album on vinyl, CD, or as a download.  Please note that the vinyl and deluxe box include a digital download as well.  For those of you have already bought the album, thank you!

Some news on the audio-visual front…  We contributed a song to Nickelodeon’s Yo Gabba Gabba, which will air tomorrow (preview it here).  You can watch our performance of “This Is Why We Fight” from Sirius XM’s studios here.  And lastly, our performance and interview on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic airs on Thursday morning (details here).
